Many of you have asked for pictures of our little grandson. I’ve attached two from the day he was born and one from yesterday with Lauren holding him. She has held him multiple of times daily and has gotten comfortable changing his tiny diaper even with all the tubes. He is precious. Please be praying for him and for his parents. Either Sunday or Monday, a big step will be taken that will either make him a bit more comfortable and be the first step to allow him to be brought home on hospice for the remainder of his short life, or it may take his life. I can hardly write those last words, but we are all more peaceful today with God’s plans for Jace. Our Lord already knows the outcome of the next few days, and the grief and joy we are all experiencing right now. I know with his death, the grief will only intensify for a time, but again, we are coming to terms with the fact that God is with us in amazing and incomprehensible ways. Please lift Jace up today, tomorrow, and Monday. We don’t know when this procedure will be done, but it is a critical step. It won’t save his life, but it may prolong it a bit to allow his parents to nurture him at home for a time. Please pray for God’s will to be done, our hearts to be open to whatever the outcome, and comfort in Christ and from the Holy Spirit for Jace, Lauren and Dan. Please also pray for unity in our families with any decisions to be made. Satan loves to use hard times to mess up our relationships. We are really praying against this kind of attack.

Quick note: I’ve been doing a lot of reading on bereavement. Pray for my/our wisdom as grandparents to help in tangible, but no obtrusive ways in this time of grief. Thank you.

Okay, one other quick note, Sean leaves for Spain today, and upon his return in May, after his TAMU graduation, he will enter the Navy. As you can imagine, giving up your children is a never-ending process. Our hope is in heaven. Pray for his safety and his wisdom as he makes this crucial next step.

We appreciate you all so very much.

With hope in heaven,

Kathy for all
